In February of 2013, the citizens of Miami, Oklahoma voted to renovate Red Robertson Field to make it an event center in order to host numerous events including football, soccer, band and cheer competitions and concerts.
Phase I of an $11,000,000 project began in March of 2013 and was completed in August 2013. This phase included a state of the art playing surface and new field lighting. Phase II began in Fall of 2013 and was completed in October of 2014. This phase included new home bleachers, suites, video scoreboard, Miami High School Wardog Locker room facility, concession stands and restrooms. Phase III will conclude the renovation process and will include new visitors bleachers, concession stands, restrooms, and an honors plaza on the south end of Robertson Field.
